About Us History Sherrill Pest Control is based in Manchester, Tennessee but the company actually began in the Tampa, Florida area in 1950 before its founder, Mr. Horace Sherrill, moved his operation to the Middle Tennessee area in 1959.  Mr. Sherrill's four sons worked with their dad from a very early age.  The eldest son, Vernon Sherrill, bought the rights for the Middle Tennessee area from his dad in 1975, and founded the present day Sherrill Pest Control. Keeping with the "family tradition", Sherrill Pest Control currently has a third generation son, Kevin Sherrill, working with his father in the business. Industry Leaders Sherrill Pest Control has been a member of the local, state, and National Pest Management Association (NPMA) for several years. Vernon Sherrill, his wife, Cindy, and son, Kevin, have all served as President of the local Pest Control Association and have all been on the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Pest Control Association. Vernon and Cindy have also served on the Executive Board of the Tennessee Pest Control Association. Additionally, Kevin participates in the “Academy,” which is an annual industry leadership development program sponsored by the National Pest Management Association (NPMA).
